What is the New Route of Silk? The New Silk Road ─ called Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), in English ─, is Chinese initiative proposed in 2013 pelo presidente Xi Jinping. Treated by media vehicles such as “One Belt, one Road” (the origin of the name if gave the association of “Belt” with the original Silk Road; and “Road” the maritime area in which some of the negotiations / transactions will take place commercials).
